Working History- research projects:

Under his management were conducted archaeological excavations of Thracian funerary tombs near Radovene, Tyrnak, Tynava, Vratsa region; Sinemorets, Bourgas region, Kovatchevci, Pernik region, the antique castle Variana near town of Oriahovo.

Has thirty five (35) scientific publications in Bulgarian and in English.

Author of the monograph "The Mogilanska Mount in Vratsa"

Participated in international congresses on antique bronze in USA, Germany and Italy .




REGIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM VRATSA

The Regional Historical Museum and art Gallery in the Bulgarian town of Vratsa represents an official organization, registered in court that is under the authority of Vratsa municipality in financial terms as well as under the authority of the Ministry of culture in methodological terms. The Museum is also an organization, which works within the area of the municipality. It is responsible for the research, the analysis, the storage and the popularization of the monuments of culture in the area of Vratsa. The Museum also undertakes activities in the area of education and popularization.

In the Museum there are 28 full time employees and 1 part time.

The museum is situated on an area of 4027 sq. meters and has all the necessary technical and security installations that keep an optimum regime for the storage and presentation of cultural heritage monuments and art works. The building consists of administrative part, storage part and exposition halls.

The central part of building includes:

Administrative part, which takes around 150 square meters. This part hosts the directors' cabinet, the working cabinets of departments "Archaeology", Bulgarian History 15 - 19th century", "New Bulgarian History", as well as storage room and "Public relations" department. The building also has a conservation atelier, photo-laboratory, and departments for guides, etc.

The Museum exposition has an area of about 1400 square meters and consists of the following parts:

"Archaeology" in the rooms "Prehistory", "Antiquity", "Middle Ages", "Treasures hall" and "Rogozen treasure" with a total area of 500 square meters. The expositions present fossils; ceramic, bronze and glass vessels; tools, weapons, jewelry; cult plastic arts; stone plastic arts; pictogram signs and treasures from the late Old Stone Age period (15000-8000 BC), New Strone Age period (7000-6000 BC), Chalcolitic period (5000-4000 BC), Bronze Age (3000-1200 BC), Iron Age (1200-28 BC), Late Antiquity (1 - 5 Century), Early and Late Middle Ages )6 - 14 Century).

The Museum presents the following Thracian treasures: Silver treasure from Bukyovtsi; Treasure form Galitche; the Vratsa treasure and the famous Rogozen treasure. The Vratsa museum is proud to offer you to see the ORIGINAL Rogozen treaure in an especially designed hall.


BULGARIAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION

Bulgarian Archaeological Association is a non-government organization set up in Bulgarian in the beginning of 2000. Our team consists of young people students and specialists of Archaeology.

The main goals of the organization are to work for the protection and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage in Bulgaria and the region. Bulgarian Archaeological Association creates and implements projects and programs that aim stimulation of the scientific, research and cultural activity of young specialists in the area of archaeology and cultural history. Our efforts are pointed towards a broad circle of problems, connected with the development of the culture and scientific work in the environment of the civil society.

The main functions are: • To work for popularization of cultural and historical monuments in Bulgaria and in the Balkans. • To stimulate research and publishing. • To organize and coordinate cultural and scientific activities in Bulgaria and neighboring countries (For example: archaeological researches, the regional and international production of publications, the archaeological exhibitions etc.)
